Apple Niche: a golden opportunity for bloggers

In the past few years there have been many blogs focusing on small and incompetent niches, most of them are usually on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc. At first I was against it and I wrote a number of posts discouraging readers against it, but recently I felt such niches have great profit potential and are quite stable. The reason I didn’t appreciate this was because it totally depends on the company you blog on, in case Facebook looses its popularity in the future your sure loose out, so the key is to find companies or products which create great buzz and keep growing.

Apple has created enormous buzz from the past 4 years, it has released a number products and almost all have been successful, best thing is that most of Apple’s products are promoted online giving opportunities for bloggers to profit from that. Many Iphone blogs were started in 2006 when there were some rumors of the super cool phone. During that time these blogs got millions of visitors every month and their was no end to their popularity till today. The Ipad has created enormous buzz even before its release, this shows the demand for Apple products and the advantages you’ll have with it.

Growth and stability

Like other small niches, Apple too is very profitable, but the reason its preferred over others is its very stable. Recently, the reduction in Twitter’s growth threatened many bloggers in that niche, so I usually say to be in a safer niche. If you observe Apple’s current strength, management and quality, I’m sure that they’ll remain as a safe topic for the next couple of years.

Apple has got great products in the line for the future and due to its initial successes all of their demands are high, so you’ll always have growing audience for your blog.

Big audience

Even before its launch, the Ipad is estimated to sell over 4 million copies, this number is going to increase every year, so as you can imagine this is no longer a small niche. There is plenty of demand for guides, articles and news on Apple products. You’ll have great success if your blog succeeds to provide them with quality content.

Many bloggers in this niche whom I  know have claimed that they had 1000s of visitors in just a few days, they also said that SEO for this niche was relatively easy. I completely agree with all of them, this is because of very low competition and high demand. Even today there isn’t much competition in this niche.

Wider topics

Most bloggers find it hard to make money and generate traffic when there is nothing new and interesting to write about, but thats really not the case with Apple. Due to its app network and constantly updated features there is always news to write about.

Apple currently has around 144,000 apps in its network and their are 100s added every day, so most users tend to find the best apps for their requirements, so having guides, lists and stats about these apps will surely lead you to success. The topic is never ending, you’ll be forced to keep writing more and more.

Your load increases when more and more apps start updating with the apps being added everyday, this also comes with new readers interested in the new updates and apps available on their Iphones and other Apple products.

Monetization

As mentioned above, this niche has great potential for profits, either you use Adsense, some affiliate program or sell ads directly your sure to make good profits.

I recommend that you use Adsense on the sidebar and on the top, but most people advise to use the Amazon affiliate network and sell some Apple products. Apple themself do not have any affiliate network, so its better to use services like Amazon. You cannot sell advertisements on your site unless its very popular, once its popular you’ll get plenty of offers from app developers.

Adsense does not provide relevant ads for this niche yet, so its recommended that use the cpm ads from Google. Try to get indexed in as many keywords as possible as the searches for Apple Apps and products are going to see a jump soon.

Hey, actually, Apple has an iTunes affiliate program through linkshare :D

Probably tough to make a buck on this one if you’re not really into apple though.
