Yes blog commenting is one of the best ways, but blog commenting has great effect when you comment on an article similar to your post, but its difficult to find such articles when your in need.

I’ll start by sounding corny and saying thanks for the post…

You’ve highlighted some excellent aspects on promotion that I had not considered. I really appreciate the idea of emailing bloggers and webmasters as the post is written. This is something I dont think i’ve seen written anywhere else before.

Like yourself I’m a newbie(in fact…just born) so i’ll be pulling on all of your above points to hopefully promote in a much grander way my posts so that more new subscribers are reached.

@John Akerson – so far i’ve found tweeting to be quite effective. The traffic is coming slowly.

Blog commenting is the best way to promote a blog. It gives a blog some loyal reader. It’s also a great way to interact with other people. However, one have to make sure, the blog comment system should show blog link, no matter it’s nofollow or dofollow.
