Marketing case study : the story behind Twitter's success

I first created my Twitter account in 2007 when it was just about to get popular, at its first impression I was like who the hell would want to use this? and after a few months I knew how wrong I was about it, but till today I stand up to this that Twitter is just a waste of time for common surfers and its just a tool for marketers and businesses. Thats why only marketers promoting B2B products and sites perform well. Other consumer related once don’t stand a chance, that is why SEO and MMO blogs write about Twitter as a great resource and which is the main reason for its popularity. [Read more...]

Dumb Little Blogger monthly traffic report – May 2010

Welcome to Dumb Little Blogger’s 3rd monthly traffic post, I couldn’t wait to do this post because from the past 2 months I’ve received great response from our readers for such posts. I was really hoping that there would be huge spikes in traffic in this month, but somethings didn’t go as I had thought. Even after facing many problems I managed to avoid a drop in traffic and I’m looking forward for big rises in the month of June. For those of you who have missed my previous traffic report, do check it out to get an idea on our audience and its growth. [Read more...]

My annual report : One year after starting to blog

Its been one year since I started my blogging career, actually its been one year and ten days to this date as I’m pretty late for this post. It was on the 19th of May 2009 when I started a blogging tips blog named Quidoscope and that day was very joyful for me as I’d launched my first ever website which felt like a great achievement and I guess I could never have thought that the challenges I’d face in the future would make this achievement look like a piece of cake. Case study: 12000 visitors without much posting and promotion

Again I’m a bit late with the monthly traffic post, but this time its more than just the sources and amount of traffic I generate to my blog. As you all can see I was completely off from blogging from the past one month due to my exams and I didn’t get the time to post a single comment to drive traffic, but fortunately I was happy to see a constant flow of traffic everyday and on the end of my exams when I checked out my traffic for the particular month I had a shock of my lifetime, as my traffic had increased by over 40% to 12000 visitors. Is Bidvertiser scamming publishers?

Most of you would have noticed the Bidvertiser ads I had placed on my blog for the previous two weeks. I had 3 Bidvertiser ad zones for two weeks to fully monetize my blog. If I count the total traffic I got in those two weeks it would account to 2374, which isn’t pretty bad. Before when I used affiliate ads to monetize my site, I used to get 17 to 25 clicks per day and I usually made upto one sale per day, but using Bidvertiser the entire two weeks resulted in zero clicks and zero revenue. Freelancing your way to online success

Before the twentieth century most people around the world were either individual farmers or shop-keepers, well what ever they did and how much ever they earned, they never had anyone to tell them what to do and what not to do. Since then the world has got free from imperialism and other social evils, but today we are bond with something that keeps us under command for 8 hours a day.  As a teenager I’m trying my best not to get stuck with a 9 to 5 job when i grow up and my main aim in the upcoming 2 to 3 years is to generate passive income from whatever I’m doing. As a freelancer you have no chances of generating passive income at least for one year after you start, you’ll get a stable income after that, giving you freedom from your 9 to 5 job. [Read more...]
